Business plans also fail for lack of action in following the planning process. The action plan flows out of the annual strategic plan, specifying who will do what and when, to ensure a successful outcome. Successful planning involves discipline, and the action plan provides that discipline by breaking the annual strategic plan down into quarterly or monthly, weekly, and daily steps.
